Does a higher grain round have less distance?

Yes the heavier grain bullet will have less distance but will pack a bigger wallop when shot out of the same gun. But it is the weight of the bullet that will make it kick harder then the lighter bullet.Not the powder charge.And due to the effects of gravity the heavier bullet will always travel less then the lighter bullet.
