Help! i had a dream that i think is symbolic?

i dreamed that i was at this place and this black woman had this black baby and she needed to get it across this swampy murky pond area and so she placed the baby in a dark brown woven basket. the father was supposed to be on his way to pick him up and take the baby across. so we waited and waited but it seemed like the dad was taking its time lallygagging around and i stepped forward and that's when the dirty murky water took me in and now i had the baby and i was losing the baby and i saw the baby go under and i was like NO!! swim! swim! so i swam and and pushed. i past crocodiles and alligators that were lurking in the waters. the crocks were mad that i made it past them. so when i made it out i noticed i was in this outfit that was kinda "cute" but not my style but everyone else was admiring me.
