What goes through the mind of the drivers of rice mobiles?

My friend has an anniversary camaro SS with just some bolt-ons and aftermarket cam. As we pulled out of the gas station some guy in was revving his eclipse and looking 'hard'. I pointed and laughed at him and we moved on. Well a mile or so down the road that same eclipse came buzzing up and revved on our car. We thought he was joking but he genuinely wanted to race. After we slaughtered the car I couldn't help but wonder what people seriously think. I drive a ford lightning with only a few light mods like an aftermarket pulley and I get celicas, preludes, v6 mustangs, and all kinds of sub-200hp cars that do the same thing. Have they ever driven anything that has some sort of performance? I don't have the fastest thing on the road but alot of thse guys have less than half the horsepower and even less torque. It just feels so mean..
